WAKEFIELD

Wakefield, situated on the NH-ME border,incorporated in 1774, was historically significant as an important stagecoach and railroad stop between the seacoast and the White Mountains. The town is known for its peaceful, rural lifestyle with an abundance of pristine lakes and offers year round recreational activities ie: boating, swimming, fishing, golfing, hiking, camping and snow mobilling. One will find a mix of housing styles ranging from historic farmhouses to modern lakefront homes.
